ASHWAUBENON (WLUK) -- A new concert venue in the Green Bay area is set to open next month.

The EPIC Event Center, located at the former Gordmans store in Ashwaubenon, will host its first concert on April 15.

“We are excited to be able to provide live entertainment in a safe manner at this incredible new facility,” said Melissa Toonen, General Manager of EPIC Event Center, in a news release. “Various sporting and entertainment venues in the area have demonstrated that with the right protocols, we can successfully bring smaller scale events to the community. We have a great lineup coming to EPIC Event Center that will bring sensational talent to the area spanning many different genres.”

The 2,100-capacity venue will host live music of various genres including country, pop and rock. Comedy shows will also take place.

The first concert will feature a performance by "Otherwise," with local acts "Krestfall" and "Archaic Bloom" also performing. Additional shows have been scheduled for May 7, 8, and 21, Oct. 9 and Nov. 20.

The venue will initially open at about 25% capacity, with groups of six seated together in pods spaced six feet apart. Temperature checks will be taken at the entrance, and masks must be worn when outside the assigned pod.

More details on shows and ticket information can be found on the EPIC Event Center website.
