BROWN COUNTY (WLUK) — Home Makeover finalists; Sabrina Bonner stays safer at home
“Most of my traffic is, I would say, from highway 26. And so there’s a lot of trucks so you know I can hear these horns and the beep-beeps and all that stuff because somebody’s always on it.” says Sabrina Bonner.
Sabrina Bonner of Rosendale is a finalist for the 2020 Good Day Wisconsin Home Makeover Giveaway in Partnership with Tundraland.
The winner gets to choose between a bath or shower remodel, a new deck or Renewal by Andersen windows.
Bonner says new windows could minimize traffic noise, helping her sleep better-while also retaining efficient heat in the winter.
Bonner says, “The bills would be- probably a whole lot better.”
During the on-going pandemic, Bonner has been staying ‘safer at home’, especially since her auto-immune disease makes her more susceptible.
“As far as going to the store, I try not to go there at all because I mean if I have to you of course know I’m gonna go.” Bonner continues, “But it won’t last forever I know that. And I’ll be able to go outside again, and listen to musical concerts and have fun. But right now we just can’t.”
With the worry of getting sick, Bonner’s family hasn’t had the opportunity to visit her home.
“We can talk on the phone, we can meet. Like you know sometimes we will meet at the park. There’s a whole lot of distance at the park."
“But then it was a lot more people there than I thought was going to be there, so I spent most of my time sitting in the car.”
“I mean, I was there. So I think that that’s what matters, I was there. I just couldn’t- we couldn’t enjoy each other.”
But if there’s one thing that can shine a light on being home during these difficult times, it’s winning.-
“I hope I win so I can get some new windows!”
