ASHWAUBENON (WLUK) -- For the first time, both the boys and girls state high school volleyball tournaments will be held at the same venue.

The tournament will start Thursday at the Resch Center in Ashwaubenon.

To honor the boys tournament moving to the Resch Center, special ticket sales are being offered.

Anyone who buys a ticket for any of the girls sessions can redeem the ticket for a boys session the same day for free.

"The biggest thing is just trying to grow the game of volleyball in the state," said Luxemburg-Casco girls coach Jeff Frey. "Bringing in both groups and both genders together in the same area is just going to grow the game of volleyball and make it even better than it already is.”

Tournament tickets are $10 per session.

Separate tickets for same-gender sessions and for the championship matches will be required for admission.
