NEENAH (WLUK) -- Changes at the "Home of the Zephyrs" are now complete.
St. Mary Catholic Schools in Neenah completed its $2.5 Million NCAA regulation Zephyrs Field project.
It includes MTS Pro synthetic turf field for soccer and football, an 8-lane 400-meter Zephyrs Blue synthetic polyurethane championship running track, a collegiat- level designed pole vault, long jump, discus, shot put and high jump areas all visible from the grand stand. It also is enhanced with a new LED track timing and score board system.
“This new sports complex will be another key piece in our quest to deliver an outstanding educational experience for our students, with our focus on mind, body and spirit," said Helen Englebert, SMCS President. "We now have a next centuryeEducational campus for middle and high school young men and women with cutting-edge academic facilities including the best in the Valley Fine Arts Education Center, STEM and VEX laboratories, and a high-tech computer resource center,”
The new athletic facility, which has been in planning and construction for the last year, was made possible by gifts from donors.
