MADISON (WLUK) -- Mishicot scored four runs in the top of the first inning and that was plenty as the Indians defeated Pacelli 5-1 Thursday night in a Division 4 state softball semifinal at Goodman Softball Complex.
Kally Krueger drove in two runs in the first inning for No. 2-seeded Mishicot (25-0), which advances to its first state title game Saturday against No. 1 Horicon.
Maddie Dokey added two hits for Mishicot, which was 0-2 in two previous state tournament appearances (2014 and 2016). Also driving in runs were Katie Koeppel and Jadelyn Novy.
Megan Junk was the winning pitcher as the senior scattered seven hits, while striking out three and walking two.
