KAUKAUNA (WLUK) -- Enjoying its best season in more than 20 years the Kaukauna football team had to forfeit its playoff games this week and next week due to a positive test of COVID-19.

Kaukauna went 6-0 this season, playing a non-conference schedule, and it marked the Galloping Ghosts' first perfect regular season since winning the Fox Valley Association title in 1995.

Kaukauna concluded its season with a thrilling 35-28 overtime win at Germantown last week.

The Ghosts were seeded No. 1 in a Division 1 bracket and were scheduled to play No. 4 Cedarburg this week in Level 1. The winner would play the winner of No. 3 Germantown-No. 2 Hortonville in Level 2, which would be the season finale.
