MENASHA (WLUK) -- Menasha was supposed to kick off its season Friday at West De Pere, which was the Game Time Game of the Week, but the school has called off its participation in the game.

Menasha athletics director Rick Grable said in an email, "Due to health concerns, the MJSD has decided to postpone all HS football (varsity, JV1 and JV2) practices and games effective immediately through Friday, Oct. 2. We hope to resume practice on Oct. 3 and resume play on Oct. 9."

West De Pere will now play Hortonville and that will be the Game Time Game of the Week.

In addition to Friday's game, Menasha will also cancel its game Oct. 2 against Winneconne. If able to play Oct. 9, the Bluejays would travel to Seymour.

Additionally, Menasha went to virtual classes this week.
