ASHWAUBENON (WLUK) -- Wrightstown's Bridget Froehlke has been a major player since her freshman season and helped lead Wrightstown to the 2018 state tournament.
Furthermore, she already has the program's record for three-pointers made and has 915 career points.
That performance on the basketball court has drawn attention from colleges and recently Froehlke verbally committed to play college basketball, starting on 2020-21, for the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
"I'm super-excited because I know it's the right place for me and I'm just super-excited to get to know the coaching staff and the players better before I go there next summer," she said. "I just really love the coaching staff. Our family connected with them well and we had a lot in common with them and that's pretty much what made me select that team.
"It's super-exciting to go Division I and play at the highest level. It just makes me to want to keep working harder this summer."
Froehlke picked UMKC over Division II Northern Michigan.
UMKC was 16-15 overall last season is a member of the Western Athletic Conference.
