(WCWF) -- The United States beat England Tuesday night in competing for the Women's World Cup semifinal soccer match. Alex Morgan scored the go-ahead goal and Alyssa Naeher preserved the 2-1 semifinal victory by smothering a late penalty kick. This is the United States' third straight appearance in the World Cup title match.
The United States will now face the winner of Wednesday's semifinal, the Netherlands. The Dutch defeated Sweden, 1-0.
Now the World Cup Final is set! The U.S. will have to beat Netherlands in order to be back-to-back champions. The Final game is set for Sunday, July 7th, at 10:00 a.m. (Central Time.) You can catch that game live from France on WLUK FOX 11. The pre-game coverage begins at 9:00 a.m.
