GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- When the Green Bay Packers take the field on Sunday there will be a new team of food items ready for fans to try.
So what's on the menu?
On a sizzling hot grill at the new Mellotte Marketplace, Lambeau Field Executive Chef Heath Barbato puts the finishing touches on one of his latest creations.
"It's kind of a Philly cheese steak of a sausage hoagie. And then we have some peppers, and onions, and a beer cheese sauce on that," said Heath Barbato, Lambeau Field Executive Chef.
Not far away, a stir-fry noodle and Korean chicken bowl offers fans something very different.
"It's kind of made to order. You can get it how you like it," said Barbato.
Barbato says the new game day menu can be called a combination cultures, cuisines, and curiosity.
"You want to keep the spirit of Lambeau Field, hit all the different fans that come through the stadium. Obviously, it's well-traveled. So you want to keep some things that are from different regions, not just Wisconsin, but really keep the heart and soul of Wisconsin too," he said.
In addition to the food items, there are renovations to seven club level areas as well.
"The idea is you can walk right up to the counter, grab it off the counter, and then go through a self-check kiosk. So we've also been able to increase our points of sale, and a lot more access for the fans to get through the lines faster," said Dustin Anderson, Delaware North Sportservice General Manager.
Barbato says the menu offers more than just wings and nachos.
"We have a lot of healthy options throughout the place. You can get a Cobb salad, to a turkey wrap, to a vegetarian burger if you like," he said.
But he says on game day, many fans choose to indulge.
"If you stuff it with a brat and a cheese curd, I think it can kind of speak to the people here," said Barbato.
There are 13 new game day items in all, and they range in price from $7-20.
