MANITOWOC, Wis. (WLUK) -- A man arrested after his 23rd gas drive-off was sentenced to three years on probation and a year in jail.
Karl Kinyon, 38, reached a plea deal that settles charges in five different cases. He pleaded no contest to one felony count of forgery, and to two misdemeanor counts of theft, according to the Clerk of Courts.
Kinyon had already repaid Kwik Trip $803.90, and was ordered to pay another $2,351 in restitution to other parties.
He was arrested in February after a gas drive off at convenience store on South 10th Street. Kinyon told police he had a “layaway system” with Kwik Trip but claimed he would pay for the gas eventually.
