Update: The python was found Friday.
FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WLUK) -- Students and staff at Fond du Lac High School are keeping their eyes peeled for a classroom snake that escaped its enclosure.
Officials say the non-venomous, nocturnal python got out sometime over the holiday weekend.
Staff set up warming areas and food in the science area of the building, hoping to lure the snake out of hiding.
The Fond du Lac Fire Department and snake experts have also helped in the search with no sign of the serpent.
On Thursday, the school's principal, Matt Steinbarth, told FOX 11 school leaders have an idea where the snake is, but will need to "do some disassembling" to reach the area.
