OSHKOSH, Wis. (WLUK) -- A woman who was upset with the father of her children allegedly set his garage on fire on Mother’s Day.

Cassandra Choy, 26, is also charged with recklessly endangering safety for the May 12 fire in Omro. An initial court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 28, court records show.

According to the criminal complaint, Choy and Hugo Esparza have two children together. They argued that morning and she left. She later called Esparza to tell him she set the garage on fire.

After initially denying she set the fire, Choy admitted she set a box in the garage on fire, the complaint states.

Other units besides the one belonging to Esparza were damaged, but no injuries were reported.
