Octoberfest music lineup announced

APPLETON (WLUK) -- More than two dozen local and national bands will be filling downtown Appleton with music during Octoberfest this fall.

The 36th annual festival begins with License to Cruise on Sept. 29. Octoberfest then takes over College Avenue the next day, with music from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

Here is the lineup:

West End of College Avenue

  • John Lambert Band: 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
  • Pudge: 10:45 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.
  • Lil’ Davy Max: 12:15 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.
  • The Bomb: 1:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.
  • Vic Ferrari & Special Guests: 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Corner of College Avenue and Division Street

  • The Polar Project: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • Ask Your Mother: 10:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
  • Boogie and the Yo-Yoz: 11:30 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.
  • Too White Crew: 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Corner of College Avenue and Superior Street

  • Rodeo Deville: 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
  • Porky’s Groove Machine: 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
  • The Hook Up: 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m.
  • The Lately: 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
  • The Cool Waters Band: 2:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
  • Red Light Saints: 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Houdini Plaza, corner of College Avenue and Appleton Street

  • Newtonburg Oktoberfest Band: 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
  • Howling at the Moon: 10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
  • Copper Box: 12:15 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Eric Lives Here: 2:15 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • Unity The Band: 3:45 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Corner of College Avenue and Durkee Street

  • Happy Wanderers: 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
  • Doo Wop Daddies: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Zeroed In (484th Army Variety Band): 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
  • Consult the Briefcase: 2:45 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Road Trip: 4:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Corner of College Avenue and Drew Street

  • 484th Army Band Ensembles: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, Octoberfest organizers are still looking for volunteers to help sell wristbands for alcohol, works as bartenders, be block captains and staff food booths for nonprofit organizations. More information can be found at the Octoberfest website.
