Downtown Appleton summer events schedule released

APPLETON (WLUK) -- Art, music and food: A summer of activities is once again planned in downtown Appleton.

Appleton Downtown Inc. has released the schedule of events in the area.

Art on the Town

Art on the Town takes place from 5-8 p.m. the third Friday of each month from May-September. Artists and performers will be showcased at several venues in the downtown area.

  • Sept. 20: PARK(ing) Day

Lunchtime LIVE!

Lunchtime LIVE! concerts will be staged form 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursdays between May 30 and Aug. 29 (except July 4). The concerts will be held at Houdini Plaza.

Concerts are scheduled for 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Houdini Plaza on Thursdays between May 30 and Aug. 29 (except July 4).

Downtown Appleton Farm Market

The Saturday morning farm market begins June 15 and runs through Oct. 26, except Sept. 28, which is Octoberfest. It runs from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

New this year is the Trout Museum of Art’s Farm Market Drop-off, where kids can create art at the museum's studios while their parents shop at the market. It is available to children between 5 and 11 years old, and is $5 per child. A maximum of four children per family are allowed. Hours are 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Downtown Trolley

The trolley runs from 5-11 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturdays, between June 6 and Sept. 28.
