1. The Violent Femmes to rock Green Bay

The Violent Femmes are coming to town this weekend! The American folk punk band, originally based out of Milwaukee, will perform at Meyer Theatre in downtown Green Bay. Of course we can hope they'll perform the songs they're known for such as "Blister in The Sun", "Add it Up" and "Gone Daddy Gone." Though it's likely the band will also perform singles off of their latest album, Hotel Last Resort.

You'll just have to find out for yourself! The show begins at 8:00 p.m. this Saturday, September 14th. For tickets and further details, head to the Meyer Theatre website.

2. Green Bay Gambler's pre-season kicks off

This Friday, September 13th, you can catch the Green Bay Gamblers back in action as they go up against the Sioux City Musketeers! Following the game is an open-skate with the Gamblers!

The Exhibition Game will take place at the Appleton Area Ice Center. Tickets start at just ten bucks! For tickets and information head to the Green Bay Gambler website.

3. NEW Pride Alive

The 12th annual N.E.W. Pride Alive festival kicks off this Saturday, September 14th at the Brown County Fairgrounds.

The family-friendly event runs noon-11:00 p.m., and will include music, an aerial dance performance, fire-breathing performances, food and fireworks! Children's activities include games, crafts and face paintings.

4. Wet Whistle Wine Fest

Wet Whistle Wine Fest returns to Von Still in Algoma. Enjoy a grape-stomp, live music, specialty foods and of course- wine! Music will be performed by Bazooka Joe, Annie Rose Band and Big Mouth.

5. Bark for the Park

It's an event dog owners and dog lovers won't want to miss! This Saturday, September 14th Bark in the Park returns to Whitney Park in Green Bay!

People and pets alike can participate in dog yoga and a 1-mile walk/run event, as well as pet-friendly activities and contests. There will also be snacks and refreshments for owners and dogs. Better Block Project downtown Green Bay

Adams Street in downtown is being transformed into a "Better Block", and the community can be a part of it! The street will be activated with parklets, streetscape beautification, crosswalk enhancements, pop-businesses & experiences, beer garden, community art project and live music!

Rhythms of the World

This Saturday in downtown Appleton, come celebrate music and dance from around the world during the Farm Market, and enjoy the local food fares. There will also be a Dignity and Respect March beginning at 9:15 a.m.
