1. Brown County Comic Con at the Central Library

Celebrate comics, costumes and pop culture, as the Brown County Comic Con returns to the Central Library on Saturday, October 5th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can participate in games, enter a cosplay contest, shop, and meet the creators of the Artist Alley.

The event will feature a reading and Q&A from fantasy novelist- Martha Wells, a class on how to draw anything from Eisner-award winning comic book artist- Gene Ha, and a musical performance from the power-pop music collective- The Shake Ups!

CW 14 will also be there giving away Batwoman mini-posters and more! Admission is free. Details on the Brown County Comic Con can be found at the Brown County Library website.

2. Northeast Wisconsin Craft Beer Festival

The annual Northeast Wisconsin Craft Beer Festival is returning to the Resch Center this Saturday, October 5th!

Beer enthusiasts can enjoy unlimited sampling of beer, food trucks, Samuel Adams Stein Hosting competition, live music from The Natural Talent and Memphis Star, and a Beard Competition! There will be more than 200 beers and 50 breweries during the event.

3. Cirque Italia

Water Circus Silver is headed to Appleton this weekend! Cirque Italia is a performance like you've never seen before. Adding to the cryptic and mystic thrill, talented performers dazzle over the stage that holds 35,000 gallons of water. The circus performance combines hand-balancing acts, contortionists, a wheel of death and so much more!

You can attend any of their numerous shows between Thursday, October 3rd through Sunday, October 6th. If you can't make any of those dates, have no fear... Cirque Italia will make additional stops throughout October in Northeast Wisconsin. For tickets and information, click here.

4. Manitowoc Windigo Fest 2019

Head to downtown Manitowoc this weekend for a celebration of all things Halloween! From Friday, October 4th through Sunday, October 6th, head to the the Dead by Dawn Dead & Breakfast! Enjoy live music, costume contests, dark art exhibits & contests, bizarre performances, cemetery bus tour, parade and so much more!

5. Haunted Hazelwood: CLUE!

It's that time of year again, when the Historic Hazelwood in Green Bay transforms into the Haunted Hazelwood! Solve a mystery as role-playing tragedy strikes. Time travel through the Arthur Conan Doyle Story, assuming character's roles and working with other guests to solve the unfolding mystery.

The event runs this Saturday, October 5th, from 5-8 p.m., as well as next weekend, October 11th and 12th. Tickets cost $20, and reservations are required. For more information, click here.
