OSHKOSH (WLUK) -- A pop/rock band will kick things off at EAA AirVenture this summer.
The Fray will take the stage at Wittman Regional Airport for the world's largest aviation event, July 22.
The Fray, known for songs, "Over My Head (Cable Car)," "You Found Me," and "How to Save A Life," will be joined by the band, Animal Years.
The concert is included with all weekly wristbands or July 22 admissions.
“This is the 14th year that Ford Motor Company has helped us kick off AirVenture with an opening-night concert that has brought hit makers from across the musical spectrum to Oshkosh,” said EAA spokesman, Rick Larsen. “From the Beach Boys and the Doobie Brothers to Dierks Bentley and Dustin Lynch, it’s been a great way to start an unforgettable week. The Fray and Animal Years will add to those memories in 2019.”
Other features throughout the week include the 50th anniversaries of the Apollo 11 moon mission and the Boeing 747 jetliner and the Year of the Fighter.
EAA AirVenture is set July 22-28 in Oshkosh.
