(WCWF) GREEN BAY -- Supergirl's Melissa Benoist took a turn *behind the camera in last week's episode "Deus Lex Machina"! This episode was extra special featuring Jon Cryer as Lex Luther. Following her directorial debut, fellow cast and crew members shared their support and admiration for her work on the episode.
John Cryer tweeted saying he feels so lucky to have been part of Benoist's directorial debut, and says she's a joy and can do everything.
Nicole Maines says she's so proud of Benoist, while sharing this inspirational and uplifting video from Michelle Obama.
Meanwhile, Supergirl producer Jessica Queller says she's "in awe" of Benoist's astonishing talent.
Co-star Jesse Rath posts this to Instagram, calling Benoist their fearless leader and friendly neighborhood Supergirl. He says, "There isn't a whole lot to celebrate these days, so let's take this opportunity to give it up for our friend and her directorial debut!"
Showrunner's assistant to multiple shows across FOX, Netflix, BET, ABC and Freeform, Ashley Bower, seems to be a huge fan of The CW's Supergirl!
