GREEN BAY (WLUK) -- Jazz singer Janet Planet is headlining the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay's Jazz Fest 48 this weekend.
The 48th edition of the festival begins Saturday with student performances, clinics and master classes. At 6 p.m., students will take to the Weidner Center stage for performances. At 7 p.m., the professional Green Bay Jazz Orchestra, along with vocalist Janet Planet, perform.
Jazz bands from five area high schools are set to perform during the festival. Students from another eight high and middle schools are also set to participate.
Tickets for Jazz Fest 48 are $14 in advance and $17 at the door. Students receive free admission. Tickets are available at UWGB's University Union Information Center, at TicketStar outlets and online.
