Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels appears on CW 14 Focus with Robert Hornacek

(WCWF) -- This week on CW 14 Focus host Robert Hornacek will be joined by Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels.

Nickels was first elected in 2009. At the time, the 22-year-old was the youngest mayor in the nation.

He was recently elected to his third term.

On the show, Nickels will talk about his career, his future and his priorities.

Nickels says he is focused on helping the city rebuild its image by becoming a more attractive community for young people.

"Let's focus on our downtown. Let's get people to live there. Let's get shops there. Let's get restaurants there that are unique to our community. What can we do to bring people in and make people want to stay?" Nickels said.

CW 14 Focus is a weekly, half-hour interview program that focuses on the issues important to people in northeast Wisconsin. Each week, Robert Hornacek will sit down with a different guest and go beyond the sound bites. The program will highlight the people making a difference in the community and give viewers an opportunity to get in depth perspective. CW 14 Focus airs Sundays at 10 a.m.
