(WCWF) -- This week on CW 14 Focus host Robert Hornacek will be joined by a Green Bay-native who is sharing his story of addiction.
Nicholas Bush will appear on the show. Bush is a recovering heroin addict who now lives in Missouri. He is also the author of the new book, "One by One: A Memoir of Love and Loss in the Shadow of Opioid America."
On the show, Bush will detail his battle with addiction. He will also talk about how he was able to recover and heal.
Bush will share some advice for others dealing with addiction.
"Step one is definitely to get clean," he said. "For some people it's rehab. For other people, it's getting to a meeting. It's being honest with yourself and there are people out there who are just waiting for you to take that step, just waiting for you to open up. They want to help you come out of it. They know you're miserable. They've been there and they know how to help you so reach out."
CW 14 Focus is a weekly, half-hour interview program that focuses on the issues important to people in northeast Wisconsin. Each week, Robert Hornacek will sit down with a different guest and go beyond the sound bites. The program will highlight the people making a difference in the community and give viewers an opportunity to get in depth perspective. CW 14 Focus airs Sundays at 10 a.m.
