(WCWF) This week on CW 14 Focus host Robert Hornacek will be joined by a man who is part of an institution with deep roots in Northeast Wisconsin and even deeper roots throughout the world.
Father Brad Vanden Branden, O.Praem., prior of St. Norbert Abbey in De Pere, will appear on the show.
Norbertines have served in Northeast Wisconsin for more than 120 years. The Order, founded by Norbert of Xanten, dates back to the 12th Century.
On the show, Vanden Branden will talk about the past, present and future of the order, including its balance between prayer and work.
"A motto that we have is 'prepared for every good work,' that we can be influenced and inspired by the Gospel and our own prayer and then go out and serve the needs of people," Vanden Branden said.
St. Norbert Abbey is under new leadership. Abbot Dane Radecki, O.Praem., was elected to a nine-year term.
CW 14 Focus is a weekly, half-hour interview program that focuses on the issues important to people in northeast Wisconsin. Each week, Robert Hornacek will sit down with a different guest and go beyond the sound bites. The program will highlight the people making a difference in the community and give viewers an opportunity to get in depth perspective. CW 14 Focus airs Sundays at 10 a.m.
