(WCWF) -- This week on CW 14 Focus host Robert Hornacek will be joined by Appleton police chief Todd Thomas.

On the show, Thomas will talk about his department's use of body cameras and why he says the technology is such a valuable tool.

Thomas will also talk about the city's approach to dealing with immigration. Thomas, who is a member of the Law Enforcement Immigration Task Force, says it is mostly a federal issue.

"We will assist the federal government if they are coming in to our jurisdiction looking for people that are violent criminals or are wanted for criminal offenses or sex offenders or somebody that is a repeat violator of the immigration laws. We'll assist them. But we don't feel like it is a local law enforcement officers job to go out and enforce immigration laws," Thomas said.

CW 14 Focus is a weekly, half-hour interview program that focuses on the issues important to people in northeast Wisconsin. Each week, Robert Hornacek will sit down with a different guest and go beyond the sound bites. The program will highlight the people making a difference in the community and give viewers an opportunity to get in depth perspective. CW 14 Focus airs Sundays at 10 a.m.
