This is becoming a familiar tune for the CW's favorite funny girls, Gina Rodriguez and Rachel Bloom. They were once again nominated this year for a Golden Globe for their work on Jane The Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
This is Rodriguez's third consecutive nomination and second for Bloom in the category of "Best Performance of an Actress in a TV Series - Musical or Comedy." Both actresses have walked the same path when it comes to the Golden Globes. They both were nominated for their performance during the freshman season of their respective shows, and they both snagged the Globe after their first nomination: Rodriguez in 2015 and Bloom in 2016.
The other nominees in the category include: Julia-Louis Dreyfus "Veep," Sarah-Jessica Parker - "Divorce," Issa Rae - "Insecure," and Tracee Ellis Ross - "Blackish."
The CW queens of comedy took to social media to react to Monday's news:
Their co-stars also took to social media to send them congratulations, but of course not without them thanking their co-stars for their hard work to get them this recognition.
Will this be the third year in a row that the award under-dog CW takes the title? The Golden Globes take place on Jan. 8 on NBC at 7 p.m.
