CW 14 will sponsor the Mile of Music stage at The Bar of Appleton – The Avenue. Mile of Music turns up the volume in Appleton for the second year, this year brining in more than 200 original artists on more than 50 different stages. Mile of Music starts Thursday August 7th and goes until Sunday August 10.
Two bands on The Bar of Appleton – The Avenue stage you’ll want to make sure you’re there to see, Desert Noises and Hugh Bob And The Hustle.
Before Desert Noises hits the main stage, they’re brining their blues and Americana style at The Bar Friday night at 11:20. From Utah Valley, Utah, Desert Noises makes music for the adventure in you. With musical influences like Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac and Tame Impala they’ll heart longing and mind set on the open road. Take a listen to their original song, “Oak Tree” here.
Hard luck stories, backwoods, and rock ‘n’ roll with some twang. Hugh Bob and The Hustle bring their downhome style to the stage. From Milwaukee, Wis. Hugh Bob and The Hustle mix classic Americana with rugged poetic lyrics and rock roots. They performed last year at the Meyer Theatre in Green Bay for the one year celebration of the Near Water Concert Series.
