It’s A Don’t Miss Near Water Concert Series on Aug. 3 with CW 14

For the past year and a half the Near Water Concert Series brings in local and national bands and artists to the historic downtown Meyer Theatre. And bringing with them a sense of freshness to downtown Green Bay. With an intimate setting, the audience can connect with the artists and listen to music that may not be on their playlists at home.

San Fermin, Phox, and St.Paul & The Broken Bones will be taking the Meyer Theatre Stage on Sunday August 3rd.

The Baraboo, Wis. band, Phox was part of Near Water last summer and since has landed musical spots for TV commercials as well as headline a national tour.
Why Check Them Out: They have a charming sound with beats and melodies that will stay in your head, in a good way! Also the lead singer’s voice has a mysterious quality to it, if you could think of a voice you would put in a dream sequence of a movie, it would be hers. Soft, beautiful, haunting. She also has an amazing confidence vibe, so she kills it on stage. And also they’re from Wisconsin, so they’re automatically cooler.

St. Paul & The Broken Bones is a seven-piece soul band out of Alabama. This year they released their LP earlier this year under a record label owned by John Paul White of the Grammy Award winning folk duo, The Civil Wars.
Why Check Them Out: Because they’re a seven-piece soul band…from the south. Just that sentence right there should give you reason enough to listen to them. The lead singer has amazing soul and the instruments work so great together. You’ll want to get out of your seat and dance right away. I’ve been listening to them and admit I am slightly obsessed.

Gaining some attention from NPR and Billboard’s Top Heatseekers album chart, San Fermin has been gaining popularity.
Why Check Them Out: Their style is unique and will bring flavor to your daily playlist. The lead singer’s vocals are amazing, having a folk style but can belt it out and be a powerhouse. I have a feeling they’re going to hit it big so, you should really come on August 3 and see them.
