TVLine.com has been reviewing pilots for all of the new fall shows, and just released its review for The CW’s Jane The Virgin.
The upshot? Reviewer Matt Webb Mitovich has a hard time with the medical mistake that is a major plot point in the pilot, but loves the “myriad juicy plots”:
“Because even upon a second viewing (which Jane’s medically unsound conceit demanded), this telenovela-tinged dramedy still charmed my socks off. (I mean, if the closing scene doesn’t make you misty, you’re made of stone.)”
He wraps up his review wishing Jane The Virgin well, but notes that the show is facing tough competition in its time period.
