The guests spoke about the unique history of the guard house building and the importance of Fort Howard in the development of Green Bay.

“It was a very large military post here and it really played an important part in the development of Green Bay and northeast Wisconsin as it did in the development of the United States,” Brumm said. “When we talk about settlers moving west and the military is establishing different posts as the settlement moves west, Fort Howard is a part of that. Fort Howard is part of our American history and we have that right here in our Green Bay community.”

CW 14 Focus is a weekly, half-hour interview program that focuses on the issues important to people in northeast Wisconsin. Each week, Robert Hornacek will sit down with a different guest and go beyond the sound bites. The program will highlight the people making a difference in the community and give viewers an opportunity to get in depth perspective. CW 14 Focus airs Sundays at 10 a.m.
