CW 14 Focus host Robert Hornacek was joined by Dick Knapinski from the EAA to talk more about the annual fly-in.
Knapinski talked about the history of EAA and the annual Air Venture event at Oshkosh.
He also discussed some of the challenges facing aviation and the challenges of putting on a large-scale, international event.
“I think all of us have helped organize some type of event of some sort. Take that to the Nth degree because you do have 500-thousand people who are coming, visintg you. You have 40-thousand of them camping right on the site. It begins, the planning, as soon as we’re finished. Sometimes the planning begins before we even start the previous year’s event,” Knapinski said.
